Help to transform your schools!

All Doncaster’s young people deserve a fantastic start in life and our Borough’s future relies on you becoming the best you can possibly be. Every single one of you deserves a 21st century education to equip you with world-class skills that will let you take advantage of all the exciting and positive changes taking place in Doncaster - skills that will pave the way for a successful future.

You might have heard of a project called Building Schools for the Future (BSF) - this is our once in a lifetime chance to transform Doncaster’s secondary schools into modern, vibrant learning environments.

Mayor Winter launched this project with a special paper earlier this year and is thrilled with how many of you have already shared your views. Details on the feedback we’ve received, the progress we’ve made and the next steps in this exciting project can be found on our website at www.doncaster.gov.uk/bsf. Or look out for November’s edition of Doncaster News, which gets delivered to every household in the Borough.

BSF will affect almost everyone and it’s really important you have your say. We’re currently setting up ‘Achieving Success’ groups in each secondary school to make sure that each school and local community is fully involved in the project. The groups will meet during the project to discuss any issues and work out the best way forward for their school and community.
