SOUTH YORKSHIRE WHEELS 2 WORK

SOUTH YORKSHIRE WHEELS 2 WORK (SYW2W) is part of the wider “Access to Opportunities” project, developed by South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive and awarded funding via the European Regional Development Fund together with the Local Transport Plan and Coalfields Regeneration Trust.

(SYW2W) is a scooter loaning project aimed at helping people get to work, training or College due to inappropriate or insufficient public transport.

Public transport is always seen as the preferred option and where suitably timed and affordable transport is available, this in the main is regarded as the most cost-effective means of enabling clients to access employment training or education opportunities.

However, if there is clear evidence that public transport is substantially the more expensive option and there is a transport need, ie the number of buses; distance to travel; hours of work etc, SYW2W may be able to help.
